Members steelhawk Posted February 13, 2012 Members Report Posted February 13, 2012 (edited) I haven't posted pics for awhile. I just finished some holsters. Two IWBs for a Bodyguard .380 and a Glock 26. The third one is a deluxe IWB that I have been wanting to make since I found the plans here on Leatherworker. This is actually the second one, and also made with belly leather, but it turned out good, so I wanted to finish it properly. Edited February 13, 2012 by steelhawk Quote

Members steelhawk Posted February 15, 2012 Author Members Report Posted February 15, 2012 Thanks. I am currently wearing the new IWB. It is for my M&P 9c. I am pleased at how nice, and comfortable it is. Now I need to make more of them. Quote
Members Haystacker Posted February 16, 2012 Members Report Posted February 16, 2012 Looking good. You got skill. Quote
Members steelhawk Posted February 16, 2012 Author Members Report Posted February 16, 2012 Thanks, Jeff. Coming from you, that means a lot. I wore the holster in the last pic for the first time yesterday with my M&P9c. It is the most comfortable IWB I have made. Quote

Steel hawk, where did you get the plans for the third holster you have pictured? I have been planning to make one but am not completely sure how it works under the reinforcement piece at slide area. And help would be appreciated. Quote

Members Colt Hammerless Posted February 17, 2012 Members Report Posted February 17, 2012 Those look really really nice Steelhawk! I've been wanting to make a reinforced IWB for a while and have a question. Do the pieces of the main holster body that wrap around the top of the slide (the "fingers" that the reinforcement piece wraps around in the front) meet each other in the middle, or is there a gap? I've never seen an interior shot of this style before, and have been wondering that. Does it even matter, or is it just a personal preference thing on the part of the maker? I looked at that thread you linked to, and still can't tell. Colt Hammerless Quote
Members steelhawk Posted February 17, 2012 Author Members Report Posted February 17, 2012 They meet in the middle. I just looked at one I am making now and there is no visible gap. There was a little gap before I folded the holster and began gluing the body together, but I didn't do it on purpose. Quote
Members Colt Hammerless Posted February 17, 2012 Members Report Posted February 17, 2012 Thanks Steelhawk! I just looked at the photos in that link again, and think I finally figured it out. Quote
