I am currently negotiating with a retiring tack and saddle maker to buy their Adler 105-64 Machine. Does anyone know if this is a versatile machine or if it is only good for thick saddle and tack work. What is the minimum and maximum thickness this can work with? I am new to leatherworking and so far, everything I have done has been handstitched.

Thanks

A quick search provides this info:

Adler 105 -64105-64 N/F W/F Cylinder Heavy duty fabrics and leather Saddles and harness work

It seems most heavy duty machines such as this do not handle light weight leather well at all.

Wiz or some other individuals can fill in more info.
