Jamie The applique is the simulated 8 strand that can be found in the Bruce Grand Encylopedia...As far as gauging the holes, just eyeball....cut the wet burner to leave just under a 1/4 inch even gap and it will pull snug as one tightens up the braid/lace pattern...
