Members AndrewMc Posted March 11, 2012 Members Report Posted March 11, 2012 Hate to be the one that says it but you missed a bit. It's from Al Stohlmans Project & Designs book, a friend used to have one of these years ago. The upper part where you've stitched the three pieces of leather together is supposed to have a gusset between to give more space for coins. When closed the part with the folded leather lip stops the coins falling out and when open gives you somewhere to sort through your change. After saying all that the book only shows it whip stitched so the double loop is nice as is the lack of any creases on the folded curved lip. Quote
Phatdaddy Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Suicide posted one the other day http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=37511&st=0&p=232050&hl=+coin%20+purse&fromsearch=1entry232050 you can see the gusset in that one. That being said, what you've done there is beautiful I really like the lacing. Kevin Quote

Thanks AndrewMC, I acually found the pattern pieces in my files while cleaning up shop. I'll have to find the other piece (thanks for that catch!). Quote
