Members Ij76 Posted March 16, 2012 Members Report Posted March 16, 2012 Hi, I am planning to make a leather quiver like the one in attached photo. Can you kind folks let me know hat OZ leather is used to make this quiver. I am really short on funds so don' t want to waste money to buy wrong leather. Thanks a lot, -Ij Quote
Members Jason Austin Posted March 16, 2012 Members Report Posted March 16, 2012 That looks to be about 6 to 8 oz to me. Jason Quote
Members Dwight Posted March 17, 2012 Members Report Posted March 17, 2012 If you have access to that specific quiver, simply measure it with a set of calipers. You'll have to convert the decimal fraction into 1/64ths of an inch, . . . each 1/64 is equal to 1 oz of leather. For example: .250 inches is equal to 16 oz, . . . and .125 is equal to 8 oz leather. I would be surprized if the quiver in the picture were any thicker than 8 oz. May God bless, Dwight Quote
Members Ij76 Posted March 19, 2012 Author Members Report Posted March 19, 2012 Thanks guys, 8 Oz. I never thought its 8 Oz, I was thinking in 5-6Oz size, I am starting a quiver and i need leather way more thicker than this, I think i should go with alteast 9-10oz leather if this is 8oz. -Ij Quote
