Complete Set Of Hole Punches(3/4"-1/8")12 Punches In Total

Recommended Posts

$75 obo for quick sale!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want a new swivel knife so i may trade if you have a good swivel knife and blade for smaller to medium sheridan work, no angled blades please

Got these from an older guy who quit leather working and i don't think I'm ever going to have a use for them.

Sizes are from largest to smallest- 3/4" 5/8" 9/16" 1/2" 7/16" 5/8" 5/16" 1/4" 7/32" 3/16" 5/32" 1/8"

thats 12 tools in all- obviously these are not new they all work great but 2 of them have some pretty bad rust on them, i did not try and clean them off so they may clean up really well but they are the 1/4" and 5/32" i have newer ones of these myself

i know most people are going to want this set for the fact that it is basically every size u could ever need and also that the bigger punches are quite expensive as well as hard to find and i am pricing for a quick sale because i want a new swivel knife

i also have a ceramic angled blade, 2 tandy straight blade (older and newer version) one is the newer black one and the other is an older silver one. i also have an unknown angled blade (looks like pretty good steel) as well as an older tandy head knife that i got in the hole punch collection. all of these are for sale also

I did some research and found these were not as valuable as I was told so I have decided to keep them

Sorry everyone. I did not know. But at least I didn't have to be told this by someone else and look bad lol.

Thanks.

I'll let em go for 20 plus shipping but anything less than that isn't worth it with gas being 4 bucks a gallon lol.

I just ordered a 9 piece set of punches that goes up to 3/4" like this from harbor freight for $7.99 (after coupon $7.19) along with some other stuff. If I were you I would clean them up, sharpen them and use them. I bought mine because I was always wishing I had a larger punch rather than having to try to cut a circle by hand or use a drill. I still want some punches that go from 1 inch to 3 inches... but I've not found a good price yet.

when you get them let me know how they are, i don't use these much so i was making space. i have a very tight and organized work space so i try and not keep things that i rarely use. when i get a bigger space i will acquire more stuff lol. i have usually been disappointed with harbor freight stuff in the past, you can't beat their prices but some of the stuff they carry is just too cheap. every once in a while they will have something that is useful but it seems like that i am always using it for something other than what it was designed for lol. like the homemade clicker that i want to build :o) i am awaiting my cobra 4 that should be here in about a week-2 weeks and the clicker will be next i hope

thanks

LUCKY!! Seems like everyone is getting a new Cobra 4 or some such machine. I can't afford resupply my snaps! lol

I've not received my punches yet but I hope to get them by Friday. And I think that using a tool for something other than what it was designed for is a smart and resourceful thing AS LONG AS you don't injure yourself in the process.

They have a small shop press at HF that I have been eying for a home made clicker... but before I go doing that, I need a bench-top belt sander, a spindle burnisher, a few belt end punches, a draw gauge or plough gauge, oblong punches.... the list is endless. Hand sanding and burnishing is such a pain and I'm starting to feel it .... (electric shock-like pains in my right thumb) . so I need to automate as much as I can. And of course I need a nice tool block to hold it all in. ha!

I've been trying to use some of the money I make on projects to buy at least one tool.... or dye... or something. But bills almost always take precedence.

Have you tried the glyceryn soap n canvas method? I find that much easier than wax. Plus I can get the edges a color that matches the product better. I use a bench grinder with a smooth wheel to do my sanding as well as a dremel for the hard to reach parts.

Oh I've done them all at one time or another.

Glycerine soap, water, spit, candle wax, bees wax, gum trag, wax and brand.... ear wax and toe jam (jk)

Right now I'm favoring gum trag followed by bees wax.

I've chucked up my tandy wheel slicker in the drill press too. But some of my stuff is too thick for that.... so I end up hand burnishing.

I use my dremel but I need something that I can't divot the leather with.... Been also thinking about a drum sander attachment for my drill press too. Again... .66 cents doesn't buy much these days. lol
