Hi guys

Have not made one of these for a long time already! What do you think?

Thank you for looking. Some advice on how to improve it or just plain old criticism is most welcomed.

Spiffy!

What leather did you use to construct it?

Improve on? Wow, there isn't anything to improve on. Great design.

Thank you :D

The leather use is top grain vegetable tanned leather. The strip for the ring is chrome tanned.

Sorry, I meant what company tanned the leather -

Very nice design, BTW.

I don't know who tanned the leather. Just buy them off the shop and never ask them. Sorry.

No worries. It's a great looking sheath all the same.

Very clean design. I like it alot.

One question. The small d-rings in front of each belt loop. Are they there for just in case or did you have a specific use intended for them?

Looks great to me. Not a criticism or improvement but when I make one I will often put hole in the top fold over piece instead of a snap. Then run the back strap forward enough that the snap fits over the hole and snaps onto the body where the folded piece now snaps. That allows one snap to secure the whole axe.

The D-ring is used when you wear a baldric with trigger hooks. It prevents wear on the leather loop.

Sounds like a great idea. Any pictures? Would love to see it.

That is VERY nice work....

When I do edge protectors for axes, the poll is left exposed as many users tend to utilize the poll as a hammer and the edge protector can still be masking the axe when it's used in that capacity.

Beyond that, it spot on the money. :You_Rock_Emoticon::You_Rock_Emoticon:

Thank you Sharpshooter! I do have a version which does not cover the poll.
