FHL FERG Report post Posted June 1, 2012 So yesterday I had a conversation with someone about my leatherwork and it turned it to one of those "Could you make this?", "Well, could you make that?", What about one of these?" kind of conversations. So today I asked my inner monologue if I could do a cool makeover on my old watch. "Hell yes I can!" It was originally waaaay to wide, even for me. So I trimmed it down a total of a half inch, and I think this is a good balance. The two tone dye was intentional. It's all done in saddle tan with antique. Then the base strap I did a light dusting of black with my airbrush to darken it down a touch. Let me know what you think and feel free to crtitique, I have thick skin. And it's all made from my scrap bin! Bonus!
WinterBear Report post Posted June 1, 2012 I like! Do the ends of the base strap overlap? And how comfortable is it all together?
FHL FERG Report post Posted June 1, 2012 I like! Do the ends of the base strap overlap? And how comfortable is it all together? Yes they overlap, I thinned them down with a skiving tool. As for comfort, I dig it so far but it's only been an hour or so since I finished it. I will get back to you on it.

FHL FERG Report post Posted June 3, 2012 Thank you. It needs some tweaking and detail work for sure. But I'm ok with it for a first crack at one off the top of my head with no real thought or planning.
