hazymat Report post Posted June 5, 2012 Hello Any recommendations for someone to produce a makers mark from photoshop drawings? e.g. out of steel? UK recommendations please. Many thanks Mat
gary Report post Posted June 5, 2012 Check out Le Prevo - they do embossing plates out of an alloy, not steel, but it's suitable for leather. All the details are on their website. Abbey saddlery have a contact who will make and mount custom-made stamps. You'll have to speak to them about it - and ask the price before pulling the trigger. Nick69 Report post Posted June 5, 2012 I used Metallic Elephant, much better prices and very good results. Plus they do it all using PS or Gimp. If I can remember they needed a 300dpi file.
Chavez Report post Posted June 5, 2012 I'd use an svg editor (inkscape or illustrator) rather than photoshop. You want vector graphics for these things. I'd recommend black river laser. Haven't tried their makers marks yet but they are nice guys (bought templates from them before), so I'll definitely order mine from them when I get my design finished.
