Tree Reaper Report post Posted June 21, 2012 I just got word from Emma at Springfield that they are working on an 800 number that will work in Canada and it should be operational in a few days. That's great news adding even more savings from a clients perspective and I hope they see an increase in business because of it. Kevin
Cyberthrasher Report post Posted June 21, 2012 Cool. I've heard that questions come up several times, so I'll keep it in mind so I can give a good answer.
THein Report post Posted July 1, 2012 Kevin, I too was disappointed at the 800 business but another irritation was... When ordering from outside the U.S. get them to check stock before giving them your CC #. I ordered some items from SL last summer then canceled as they had no stock in some items and I couldn't wait. They had already run through the total. When they did the credit, it cost me another discount for currency exchange. Result, I paid $20.00 for nothing. Terry
Tree Reaper Report post Posted July 1, 2012 The problem I had was trying to order off their internet site, some of the items that are in the catalog aren't on their web site, place the order over the phone, if there's a mistake like not taking the credit card information then it's another phone call which negates having a membership there in the first place. It would certainly be beneficial for both the customer and the company in my opinion. Tandy has an international in- watts and I have a membership there as well. The 800 number at Springfield still isn't working but I was able to purchase what I needed from eBay. If they get the 800 number working I'll continue to shop there but if it doesn't work out then I always have other options.
