Josiah Report post Posted June 30, 2012 This is the first seat I have done. Let me know what you think. The back stain is uneven cause I had airbrush problems and fixing it totally would have made it too dark, although the lighting makes it look a lot worse than it is. cjartist Report post Posted November 13, 2012 Very ambitious design, and you pulled it off well. Looks great!
Bobby hdflame Report post Posted November 26, 2012 I love the design and the braiding. I can see a little brown through the braid. Someone had made a post about dyeing underneath the braid black so it wouldn't be noticeable if the braid didn't completely cover a spot. I don't remember the exact process, maybe one of the pros will chime in. I hope my first one turns out that good!
Josiah Report post Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I have fixed the braid using David Theobald's advice and rubbing antique paste into the bare spots with a toothbrush. On next seats, I moved the holes slightly closer together and a little closer to the edge and that eliminated the gaps.
