Ok im not sure how to put it. When you make a holster some look like the shape of a 1911 even when the gun isnt in there. Like the trigger area is rounded and its flat where even the gun dont go. Does that help?

The holster is wet formed around the gun or a dummy of the gun it is intended to fit.

Particles video is a good description also do a search for molding or wet forming here and you will get more than you ever cared to know.
