Members Blindspirit Leather Posted August 27, 2012 Members Report Posted August 27, 2012 I didn't have anything to wear for this years Renaissance Festival, so I decided to make myself something. The bodice itself is very crude but the front panel is suppose to distract from that! Quote
Members mikesmith648 Posted August 27, 2012 Members Report Posted August 27, 2012 Very nice work............and if it is Renaissance isn't it supposed to look older and not quite so "perfect"?? Quote
Members lightingale Posted August 27, 2012 Members Report Posted August 27, 2012 I too, think it fits the time period. Lovely work, the detail in the painting really stands out against the black leather. Quote
Members David8386 Posted August 27, 2012 Members Report Posted August 27, 2012 It looks very nice with the color against the black what type dye is the black and did you color over the black? I was going to a vinageroon project with a rose on it and try to air brush a little color on it. Anyway yours came out looking good. David Quote
Members Blindspirit Leather Posted August 28, 2012 Author Members Report Posted August 28, 2012 There are a lot of things about my outfit that aren't accurate in the least. I was more using the bodice as an advertisement and its fun to show off a functional peice of art work once in a while. The dyes I used are water-based leather dyes. I get them at Tandy Leather Factory. Quote
