Members rarapaul Posted September 6, 2012 Members Report Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Hello there, I have run into some trouble with my leather sofa. I had electrical tape strapped onto one of the arms for an unrelated reason. Upon removing it, it seems to have taken off the surface leather with it. I have tried to remedy this by applying baby oil to hopefully combat the adhesive left by the tape. Although this has stained the leather considerably. Please check the photos provided as it would be very much appreciated if you could spare me some advice on how to remedy the situation, Kind regards, Paul http://i50.tinypic.com/168wf9f.jpg[/img] http://i48.tinypic.com/n651d0.jpg[/img] Edited September 6, 2012 by rarapaul Quote
Members Sylvia Posted September 6, 2012 Members Report Posted September 6, 2012 Saddle soap and some water, make a foam and work that into the arm wipe down with a clean towel then buff. That should get rid of any grime and oils. Not sure what you can do about the surface damage from the tape. Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted September 6, 2012 Members Report Posted September 6, 2012 Just a guess but some leather balm might darken it up where the tape took off the surface. Quote
