carr52 Report post Posted August 2, 2008 I started out with the ugly red one. Which by the way is suppose to be rough looking. It's for the TV show Survivor. A Pirate Treasure Map Tube. A bunch of folks from my brother's Barber Shop get together and hold a Survivor pool. We each throw in $10.00 and if your survivor person wins the million dollars you get the pool money. The white tube is for my cigar. It's rawhide. Not sure what the rest are for. I was on a roll and couldn't stop myself. Tom

carr52 Report post Posted August 4, 2008 I guess I had to keep making these things till I sorta got it out of my system. Yeah right. Anyways I finally made a three holer for my cigars. The one with the dragon isn't for cigars but I guess you could put one in it. It's about 12" x 1 1/2" I got the dragon from my truck windshield sun screen. I just took a pic of it and used the photo to sketch program. It's all a learning process for me. Still trying to figure out how leather reacts to different things. Crystal Report post Posted August 4, 2008 I like them, Tom. Your topper came out much better than my attempt did. Dragon looks good, too! Crystal
carr52 Report post Posted August 4, 2008 I like them, Tom. Your topper came out much better than my attempt did. Dragon looks good, too! Crystal Thank you for the kind words. The topper was kind of a booger. I should have just made the tube that much longer then cut the top off. The antique finish dind't look like the idea I had in my head but I'm very happy with it. Making those tubes has inspired me on to another project. I'm suppose to be cleaning my bench but I keep finding little peices of leather and think, hummm, wonder what I can do with that. Again thank you for the compliments. Tom
