K-Bar Handle Diameter?

Can someone give me the measurement of a KBar knife handle where the retention strap would go? A friend of mine asked me if I could replace the missing retention strap on his old leather K-Bar knife sheath. The problem is that he sent me the sheath without the knife and he lives out of state. I asked him if he could measure the handle for me and he was way too vague for me to trust his estimate....any help would be greatly appreciated....

Assuming you are speaking of the Marine Corps Combat Knife with a 7" blade and a leather washer handle then the dimensions are as follows:

Circumference of handle approximately: 3 3/8"

Kbar factory sheath retention strap: 5"X13/16"

Center to center distance between male and female end of snaps approximately: 4 1/16"
