Members katsass Posted September 23, 2012 Members Report Posted September 23, 2012 From the old grump: I really looks good, however, in my experience, it seems as though it may try to slip forward on the stock during recoil, especially with some 00 buck loads. Have you fired a few through the scattergun with it on yet? Mike Quote NOTE TO SELF: Never try to hold a cat and an operating Dust buster at the same time!! I think the lacing detail around the sling swivel will keep the unit in place pretty well, though. Quote Lobo Gun Leather serious equipment for serious business, since 1972 www.lobogunleather.com
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted September 23, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted September 23, 2012 If it ever does become an issue of moving, just pull it off and put a thin layer of rubber cement in a few spots. That'll add a little friction to keep it from wiggling. The tri-weave can be difficult to run straight and you did a very good job of it. I prefer having a defined border, so I run the cam tool opposite of the way you have, but it still looks good. Members Sanch Posted September 23, 2012 Author Members Report Posted September 23, 2012 HOT DAMN! I feel at home again! thanks for the kind words from all and as to the slipping issue a little piece of tool box non-slip sponge (its like 1/16 thick) cemented to the inside does the trick! no slippage with 00, 000, or slug and SS shot defense rounds! plus the lace infront and behind the sling mount helps too. I like the triweave stamp of all the basketweave and yep its a bear to keep strait! thanks again to all and good to be back! look for the sling make over for the same gun. Quote
Members katsass Posted September 26, 2012 Members Report Posted September 26, 2012 Well, the issue is that I'm old, far-sighted,, didn't have my correct glasses on, and didn't notice the swivel studs sticking out between the lacing ---- so, disregard all previous questioning on my part.
