Schpacko Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Hi guys Currently i am using a normal edger from tandy for all kind of edges. Now i am having trouble when it comes to curves with very small radius. One of these corners i am talking about is the one highlighted on this picture: Looks like i need a new edger... Any tipps for me?
Tina Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Have you had a look at BearMans slickers for the dremel? They should do the work for you :-) http://www.leatherburnishers.com/Burnishers-for-Dremel.html
Schpacko Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Have you had a look at BearMans slickers for the dremel? But the problem isn't the burnishing, the problem is the bevelling (removing the edge).

It's curved and goes around corners. pete
bruce johnson Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Most bisonettes should follow that curve but some won't depending on the angle they are bent at. A turnback edger and a round bottom edger will do it.
dirtclod Report post Posted September 26, 2012 I use one Tandy's edgers to go around 3/8 to 1/2 holes and it works fine for me. The better edgers i have won't fit so i use the Tandy one. I think you need to pratice on some scrap because you be able to edge that no problem.
Schpacko Report post Posted September 27, 2012 Okay, so it seems that a bissonnette edger is the way to go. After a bit of research, i think Barry King will be my choice. Which one would you guys choose? The "Bissonnette Edger" or the "Sharp Curve Edger"? Also, are those (and also the normal edgers) easy to sharpen? mike59 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 The turn back edger will be your best bet, hands down.
