Jaymack Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 Here's a picture of the first sheath I've done other that a couple tandy kits. I created the design myself. I thought I was doing pretty well until I put the snap on. Unfortunately for me, I'm right handed! I guess this will make a nice Christmas gift for one of my left handed relative! Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted October 28, 2012 Members Report Posted October 28, 2012 NICE! That lucky left handed relative! Quote
Members David8386 Posted October 29, 2012 Members Report Posted October 29, 2012 Looks good, you got 1 Christmas present out of the way. David Quote
Members Peter Darby Posted October 29, 2012 Members Report Posted October 29, 2012 Looks good. Knife sheaths are why I got into leatherwork. Lots of good knives in bad sheathes. I learned the hard way to mark L and R on stuff even when it seems intuitive. Quote
Jaymack Posted October 29, 2012 Author Report Posted October 29, 2012 Hey Peter, I lived in the old town part of manassas for about 12 years, on Battle Street. I moved from there about 14 years ago. Small world! Quote
Members Horrrk Posted October 29, 2012 Members Report Posted October 29, 2012 Hi Jay Really like this sheath.. Well done on your first self design, but its a pity you're not the one that's gonna be using that.. Next one, eh? Regards Phil Quote
Members bluesman1951 Posted October 29, 2012 Members Report Posted October 29, 2012 First impression : Wow !!!!!!!! Nicely done ! Superb work ! Now thats the way it should be done ! Funny how one stroke of the hammer can change a life ,sending this from your belt to that of another . Perhaps it was meant to be and you were but the instrument to make it possible ! One never knows why things happen the way they do . I can see the love of your craft in your work ,mighty fine work . Quote
