JohnBloch Report post Posted November 16, 2012 This is not my pouch, and it's a but more complex, but it's got a finger acess hole that looks like it wouldn't be hard to replicate. If this is your first project this design might be a little harder since it involves stitching. Good luck and have fun!
Leela Valley Leather Report post Posted December 10, 2012 Im not sure you really need a pattern as such for a basic pouch. When I do mine it consists of 3 pieces of leather and a length of thong. I have found that the pointed end of an economy plastic folder makes a good template for the two sides, just make them the same length as the height of the pack of tobacco. The "wrap" part that forms the bulk of the pouch is 4 times as long as the two side pieces with the corners rounded for looks. After that a small slit to tie the length (once stiched up just measure 3 turns around the pouch) of thong too. Stitching style depends on thickness of leather and the desired style/finish. SkinCellLeatherworks Report post Posted October 11, 2013 Iv made a few of these and all i did was use the plastic pouch that the tobacco comes in as my template. Once you have smoked the tobacco and the pouch is empty, simple cut down the sides to completely open the pouch into a single sheet then cut a piece of leather to the same size and match the folds to those on the plastic pouch
