Members chancey77 Posted November 7, 2012 Author Members Report Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) great job!!!!!! Is the pick guard covered with some plexi glass. I really like the head dress. You done, did it, again!!!!!!!! No there is no plexi...just a shot of Clear Laq. I was thinking I was going to do a LOT more leather on this guitar but sometimes simple is just enough, especially with that beautiful piece of Walnut. I wish the PICS did it even slight justice! The danish oil really looks great and deep! Scott brought back some Jewelers Punches from the USA last month and gave them to me so that is what I used to make the border. And since you are as much, if not more of a guitar nerd as I am here is the electronic specs; LORD KNOWS WE LOVE THE DIRTY DETAILS! hahaha String gauges are 11-14-18-28-38-50 Dunlop 6105 fret wire. Switch is wired to traditional Esquire specs. Full forward enables volume control with a preset treble roll off (via two .05uF ceramic capacitors, and one 3.3k resistor), middle position enables volume and tone controls (via one .047uF Sprague Orange Drop capacitor), and full back enables volume control only with a tone circuit bypass.
