Hi everybody!

So a bit about myself..I just found this site and made my account on here this past week.

I have been dabbling in leather working for about 3 years.Off and on. My first few projects have taught me a lot.More about how I approach a project than anything else, and how I should change my process a bit for better results.

I'm a sucker for anything celtic, and love Ren faires and the like.

Hoping to have a side business at some point in the future, but right now I'm having fun learning more while I make projects for myself and friends and family.

I'll post a few of my projects so far!

All of the projects were made using pieces from the remnant bin at my local shop, or from my scrap pile.

1st is a full heavy leather bodice for a pirate costume. My first real project. Unfortunately the center panel was thinner, and wasn't as strong.I hope to re-do it some day! Also my first attempt at eyelets.

2nd is a simple pouch I put together out of my scraps.Tired of juggling my stuff at Faire.

3rd is a Clan Crest I was going to put on a bag for my bodhran. Didn't get to finish it yet.

I know I've got a lot to learn, mostly about patience. The steadier, and slower you go,with the most preparation, it seems the better the results....

Glad to meet all of you, and see you in the forums!

Hello Gen, welcome to the forum, your projects look good! I have an order for some Ren Faire cuffs for a friend of mine. Can't wait to start them. I have always loved Ren Faires but have been too cheap to vuy the awesome leather good for sale. I'm glad I waited, now I can make my own.
