Members HandyAndy Posted August 14, 2008 Members Report Posted August 14, 2008 Sorry about the cruddy cellphone photos. First off, some sheaths... a bracer... and the good part. So I finally attempted a large scale project, a saddle bag for my Honda Ruckus. It was about 8"X10"X5" and I dyed it with vinegaroon and I was very pleased with how it turned out. I was going to take a picture of it on my scooter but about half a day after I put it on someone stole it! I guess it must be pretty good if someone wanted it enough to steal it. Quote
Members wintermte Posted August 14, 2008 Members Report Posted August 14, 2008 Man that really stinks! I'm sorry for your loss. Quote
Members BradB Posted August 14, 2008 Members Report Posted August 14, 2008 That totally sucks! It must have looked good though, the rest of your stuff does!! I was just thinking about that issue the other day and ways to combat theft... Has anyone ever sewn cable into their straps and a way to lock the straps with a padlock? Just a thought.... Quote

I'm not sure about that, but the set I'm using now (which I didn't make) I ended up just drilling holes in the back and bolting them to the frame directly. Dab Quote
Members HandyAndy Posted August 14, 2008 Author Members Report Posted August 14, 2008 I'm thinking for the next one I'm going to use those U bolts to attach the bag. Not a lot of body panel on a Ruckus. Quote
ETW Grumpy Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 Nice looking work. What about punching holes in the bag and using U bolts to hold them on? Not a lock, but could be a deterrent. Quote
