Members Vianeth Posted December 12, 2012 Members Report Posted December 12, 2012 Instead of having to order a new bottle of leather dye/lacquer stripper (I buy the stuff from Turtle feathers/Angelus). Can I use my bottle of nail polish remover and expect the same results? Anyone try this? Thanks Quote
Northmount Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Nail polish remover is acetone. It is also used as lacquer thinner and for cleaning up fibreglass resin. So is available at hardware and paint stores, also automotive stores that sell lacquer paints and fibreglass resins and cloth. It certainly does soften and remove many glues, paints and other surface contaminants. Tom Quote
