I just bought it a month ago and I'm having trouble making it work properly. Most of the time when I put a piece of say 6" x 7" 4 oz leather and I want to make it 2 oz the splitting is uneven or the machine "eats" part of the piece. Please help! Thank you. Quote

Members Jax Posted December 25, 2012 Members Report Posted December 25, 2012 We had a power splitter at college & was taught to thin the leather gradually in stages unless you were only taking a small amout off but I would agree with shtoink & check the blade. Quote

Members Pkay Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 looks like horizontal blade adjustment problem. Find some gash leather the thickness you want to thin then adjust the blade contour and feed. check then readjust. Quote
