One Year in the Learning Curve

Recommended Posts

I have been at this for about a year and started with some simple gun leathers for my Mounted Shooting and it kinda went a little overboard from there. I love this stuff. Carving is Cool. I am getting on with some rawhide work too but Jeeze what a learning curve. Anyhow a few samples attached. And as the rest of the newbies say "HIT ME"

You guys have a great forum here.

I guess i need to resize my pics or link them.

Geez, that looks great!. Nice work, and welcome to the Forum. Stay away from the donuts, and the backroom.

There's plenty of people here to study off of, especially some fine braiders. Make sure you post lots of pix.

Tank,

Those look great. I got bit by the same "single action" bug and started making

Ranger belts and SA holsters too.

Hello Tank!

Great looking piece, I agree that is a steep learning curve!

Welcome to the board and don't hesitate to ask questions about anything. People are most willing to share here.

Hey Tank!

Not a hit. but a couple of suggestions. You might want to consider bringing your decorative stamping up around the top of the holster for a more finished look. I would also suggest that the straps around the holster go the other direction, with the end of the billets going through the buckles and laying down against the pouch. I think that might keep them from catching on anything. Other than that, I agree with the other comments, looks good, and welcome to the site.
