Don101 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 these boots belong to a reenactor friend of mine and he gave me the hard task of taking in the boots of 2 inches in diameter as they where to wide for him and as he is tall he also wanted that i add another 2 1/2 inches to the top of the shaft so this is what we came up with, i stiched the brown leather to the top and relined the boots with a scalloped top to finish it of, Don
TomSwede Report post Posted August 19, 2008 Looks great Don! Seems like a fun project to do. What do you mean with scalloped? Tom

Trevor Report post Posted August 19, 2008 Hey there Don nice work my friend. The tan contrast is OK as well. I did a similar alteration once and I had to put a V shaped gusset in the side of a pair of womans high boots with elastic to make room for a bigger calf muscle. That was a mission I can tell you. Turned out good though. Couldnt have dont it without the boot patcher though. Marvelous invention. Cheers Trevor "Way Down Under"
