these boots belong to a reenactor friend of mine and he gave me the hard task of taking in the boots of 2 inches in diameter as they where to wide for him and as he is tall he also wanted that i add another 2 1/2 inches to the top of the shaft so this is what we came up with, i stiched the brown leather to the top and relined the boots with a scalloped top to finish it of, Don

Seems like a fun project to do. What do you mean with scalloped?

Hey there Don

nice work my friend. The tan contrast is OK as well.

I did a similar alteration once and I had to put a V shaped gusset in the side of a pair of womans high boots with elastic to make room for a bigger calf muscle. That was a mission I can tell you. Turned out good though. Couldnt have dont it without the boot patcher though. Marvelous invention.
