godsize78 Report post Posted February 17, 2013 I made it that way so my fore finger can open the snap on the way down. It rolls under my finger and allows my trigger finger to remain straight while gripping gun with other 3 for the draw. It is a lil different but it seems a little smoother of a draw to me than tryin to hit a snap between the gun and my body. godsize78 Report post Posted February 17, 2013 I have found a big flaw in it, lol when i put it on the holster is very tight on gun, slowing down draw speed alot. is there a way to loosen it up? I was also wondering if there is a way to compensate for the bend on the holster when forming the outer piece of leather. mlapaglia Report post Posted February 17, 2013 Wrap the gun in a ziplock freezer bag and stick it in the holster the little bit of plastic will help stretch the holster. WWG Report post Posted February 18, 2013 While I am not a holster maker (yet), I am familiar with this particular firearm. The location of the retaining strap depresses the grip safety, effectivly deactivating or in other words removing this safety. Other wise looks good. godsize78 Report post Posted February 18, 2013 Yes this is true but the trigger safty still keeps the firearm safe. the pin cannot move enough to hit the primer without the trigger being squeezed fully.The only thing this does is allows the slide to move which i dont think is really a problem.
