Anybody Recognize What These Are & What They Do?

Recommended Posts

Greetings folks,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these steel wheels are, what they are used for and what type of machine they go on.

They have a 4" outside diameter and 1" inside diameter. There are 3 pairs and each pair has a different thickness. Measured them last night, but forgot the numbers after a busy day.

I believe the thicknesses are 5/8", 3/8" and 1/4"

Look like creaser wheels to me.

Might go on a "round breaker" that starts the fold for rounded straps.

Interesting. Thanks Bruce I will look into that.I don't think they are creaser wheels Mike. O.D. is too large, and the edge surfaces are smooth.

They fit on the side of a creaser to make a round strap. You slide the flat strap in and it folds the leather making it easier to make a round for reins or halters or whatever. Just put one on a friends creaser the other day. Great tool.

something like that would work great for makeing spreaders on the bridle of a horse harness to keep the blinders spread apart. Where would you find a machine like that?
