Randle P McMurphy Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Wondering what you all do to get Satin Finishes. High Gloss & Gloss seem to be very easy to get. I've used leather balm, bit waxy which is cool sometimes. Is there a combo of two products to use? wondering is there any thing else Im missing?? thanks Quote
Members Bob A Posted March 3, 2013 Members Report Posted March 3, 2013 I use Angelus Satin acrylic finisher sprayed on with an airbrush and have had good luck with it. I usually make two light coats. Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted March 3, 2013 Members Report Posted March 3, 2013 Resolene thinned down will give a satin finish, especially with an airbrush. Quote hellhoundkustoms.wordpress.com www.facebook.com/hellhoundkustoms www.etsy.com/shop/HellhoundKustoms
Members Tina Posted March 4, 2013 Members Report Posted March 4, 2013 I also use Angelus acryllic finisher, comes in 4 different shines: Matte/Satin/Gloss & High Gloss. I buy them at turtlefeathers.net because they have the bigger containers (pint etc.) Quote "He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands, and his head is a craftsman.
