Well was asked a couple months ago to make these for a customer,he picked the leather and I bought the lace and put em all together,

I did not use a pattern, made my own up out of poster board then transferred them to the skin,

It was then just a matter of cutting them out and lacing them up.

I had them on the side n just picked em up while I watched TV,did all the lacing with triple loop,

He wanted something he could throw over the bike or his shoulder with ease when he is out and about.

Pics are not brilliant but I am not much of a photographer,

Great job Shadowryder! I see the customer picked the leather. Is it upholstery leather or do you know? And I see you laced it all or is there any sewing?. Can you tell me how much leather it took for these? It has to be a lot. I hope you were paid well.

Hi Benlilly,

thanks,

The leather was chrome tan with natural hide on back, was a bit stiff when i started with them but by time they were finished it had softened a bit and will soften more i think.except for the yokes stitched to the back of the bags every thig else is lacing.

It took about 14 sq/ft for the bags and 50 yards of 3/8ths lace,

Price it wasn,t bad but one can always wish for better,LOL!!!!

cheers

JJ.
