I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to apply clear lac. I don't have an airbrush or spray gun so I guess I will have to brush or rub it on.

You can wipe it on but it will take the finish off so a few light quick passes letting it dry between passes works .

Take one swipe and let it dry, repeat.

I had a really hard time when I was using it straight from the can. I'd suggest thinning it as well to allow yourself some time to work it. I haven't done this yet myself though since I started using Resolene for everything.

I just trim some wool scrap down to 3/8' nap or shorter and just wipe it on......start with a very light coat and allow to dry for 20-30 min and then apply a heavier second coat. I have been using neat lac and now clear lac for around 40 years without a problem this way
