The inserts on my Dad's Fatboy seat were tearing, so I took them out and made a seat to match the flame theme on his bike.

I really hate working with those stock seats...I have one here for 4 months now that needs to be done...I keep hoping it will finish itself...but NO...hahahaha

HAHA!! I'm sitting on almost a year for mine!! :)

Ammo, I never did mention how good of a job you did on this one. I get sidetracked a lot since I'm on the forum while working. So, Great Job!! :)

Very nice. This one has me thinking about recovering my "Fat Elvis" model Mustang seat on my softail. I like the seat form, just don't like the studs and conchos on it (that's why I nicknamed it my "Fat Elvis" seat). Think I should try it? What advise would you give a leather noob on re-doing stock seats?

I make 2-4 side pieces a top piece a bottom ....but thats just me:)

Ya those studs gotta go:) DO IT!!!!! What's the worst thing that could happen????? You may have to try again...thats about it:)

Sharp design work and that is some good looking, heavy leather. I know it takes time for this and it shows. Heck, I even like the background wood.

Thanks for all the kind words. I had fun with the design and tooling but hand stitching that son of a bitch back together was a pain in the ass.
