Members benlilly1 Posted April 18, 2013 Members Report Posted April 18, 2013 Looks good Redtail, nice geometrics. Do you make a center line on the back of the leather to match up with a center line on the pan? The reason I'm asking is so you can keep the design straight from back to point. I always do this. It really helps. Quote
Members REDTAILHAWK Posted April 18, 2013 Author Members Report Posted April 18, 2013 I should have. I know I got it off center in the crotch area. I didn't notice it until after I finished lacing it. Quote
Members chancey77 Posted April 19, 2013 Members Report Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) Looks like you have the process down...now how about something that doesn't look like your stamps threw up all over your leather hahahahaha Time to sharpen up the knife and make a carving now! You got the process down!!! LOOKS GREAT! And I am glad you have joined the ranks of the seat makers:) You should be charging between 450-600 for these seats now! Go make some carvings and make some bank! I hope you take this as it was meant to be taken with encouragement and good humor! Edited April 19, 2013 by chancey77 Quote

Members Cyberthrasher Posted April 19, 2013 Members Report Posted April 19, 2013 Trust me, it will hardly be noticeable once a butt's in place on it!!! I was just staring at it trying to figure out how many different tools were use. Quote hellhoundkustoms.wordpress.com www.facebook.com/hellhoundkustoms www.etsy.com/shop/HellhoundKustoms
Members REDTAILHAWK Posted April 26, 2013 Author Members Report Posted April 26, 2013 Well the geometric pattern seat made its way to being donated to an local auction for Ride for the Cure. Hope it brings in some bucks for them. Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted April 26, 2013 Members Report Posted April 26, 2013 Cool. I've been wanting to get one done for the Young Marines in town, just haven't had the chance to do it yet. Quote hellhoundkustoms.wordpress.com www.facebook.com/hellhoundkustoms www.etsy.com/shop/HellhoundKustoms
