Members benlilly1 Posted May 3, 2013 Members Report Posted May 3, 2013 Did it eventually lighten up as time went on? Quote
Members paprhangr Posted May 3, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) It's been 20 hrs did not lighten. Here pic shows quite a bit of contrast but it does leave the leather soft and supple Edited May 3, 2013 by paprhangr Quote
Members paprhangr Posted May 9, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 9, 2013 I don;t have much experience tooling, my focus is on getting a good basic build down. Finished seat for sale Quote

Members cloverpatch Posted May 18, 2013 Members Report Posted May 18, 2013 I am new to leather work, and don't make seats, but your examples look wonderful to me! Would you tell me which W&C you used. It looks so good that I'd guess their English Bridle. Thanks for sharing your photos and comments. Quote
Members David8386 Posted May 19, 2013 Members Report Posted May 19, 2013 Very nice, I like the color and lacing on this one. Good craftsmanship. David Quote
Members paprhangr Posted May 19, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks for the encouraging comments. the leather is good looking, its W&C's Tooling/Holster/Carving Natural Utility 7oz its pricey 25.2 sq.ft shipped = $192.51 and they have raised their price sense then I made a fiberglass mold of the steel seat pan I used on this seat, stuff is really strong can be made as strong as needed with several layers, its light weight and can be shaped to fit any frame, kinda fun to work with Quote
