dcantato Report post Posted March 26, 2013 I was looking for a good project to use my newly acquired tools on and I thought I should solve a problem with the problem itself. So I have sewn normally for some time but use a tomato thingy for my needles normally but these big leather ones need their own holder. Inspired by another pouch I saw on a website for leather goods. Colors are pretty close in photos, natural finish. Learned a ton for my next go around, mainly in how to stitch and how to cut in a straight line. Tree Reaper Report post Posted March 26, 2013 That looks very good. You can bury the strap ends through the front, between the leather and under the stitches to make it cleaner looking.
dcantato Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Do you mean the part where the flap tucks? That strap on the stop side like that was mostly just copied from the style of the one I liked: http://barrettalley.com/petite-leather-pill-pouch-in-russet

Tree Reaper Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Yes, that strap. Just a different way to conceal the ends. Do you mean the part where the flap tucks? humperdingle Report post Posted April 12, 2013 Nice... Looks quite like one i made a while back - Must say, it never even occurred to me that it might be used to hold needles!
