fenester Report post Posted April 1, 2013 How do you do, Leatherworker.net? I found this site when searching for more information about hand sewing and finishing. I've really enjoyed looking at everyone's work and projects and the sharing and fostering of knowledge here. I'm new to leatherworking, I've only done a few practice scraps (for stamping/tooling) and a couple card holders, but I'm really enjoying the work so far. The card holders below were made with 3-4 oz., dyed with Eco-Flo, painted with Cova Color, and finished with Super Sheen. I have since switched to Angelus spirit dyes and appropriate conditioners and finishes. I've been developing patterns for a couple bags and long wallets while waiting for some new tools and materials (mainly a proper stitching awl and some lining material). I'll be sure to post to "Show Off" when my new projects are completed. Thanks again everyone for contributing to this great community and network! Best, Fenester

fenester Report post Posted April 2, 2013 where are you from? raised in Sausalito myself. pete Sausalito's beautiful. I currently live in San Francisco but I'm originally from the L.A. area. Sometime soon I hope to be moving out of the city though. Lived in NYC for ten years before this and I think I'm down with urban living for a while. Thanks everybody for the welcome!
