Contributing Member SooperJake Posted April 3, 2013 Contributing Member Report Posted April 3, 2013 Can anyone recommend a reasonably affordable laser set up for cutting leather? Quote Once you know what the magician know.... it isn't magic anymore.
raysouth Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 I know that several folks on the site have access to lasers but as far as "reasonable costs" for a laser, I don't know what that would mean. The units that I have seen are above $2000.00 plus, so I suppose a search on google would give you a good idea of what the market has available now. A number of small units have hit the market in the recent past but don't remember who made them. Good luck with your search. God Bless. Ray Quote
Members Glendon Posted April 16, 2013 Members Report Posted April 16, 2013 The cheapest decent laser cutters run about $2,000. You can find knock-off garbage for a bit cheaper, but from what I've heard they don't work well. You can find a good entry level laser cutter from Full Spectrum Laser at http://fslaser.com for about $1,900. They are not cheap things to get into. Quote
