Do You Still Have Your First Saddle?

I think there was a thread a year or so back on makers first saddle. But I was not successful finding it.

This was my first saddle------ I built it for my dad, but his illness took over to fast and he never got to put it on his horse.

I started riding it about 3 years ago to think of Dad.

Lots of things I would do different now----- but it rides pretty good any how.

Hi Billy, I don't have my first saddle anymore, but; I know where it is, and the lady that has it uses it all the time.

First saddle I made was for a friend of mine. He has never kept a saddle more than three years until that one. He has had it since 2004. I go hunting with him in the mountains in Montana. I have only ridden the saddle once.

I actually shortened the bars and raised the cantle on the tree. He rides mules and says it fits every mule and horse he has ever tried it on. Wish all of them turned out like that.
