whiteeugene Report post Posted May 23, 2013 Looks cool what will you stuff the ball with?
holocene Report post Posted May 24, 2013 Hows the pipe work for you? I know antler is really rough to inhale- does that happen with burning tobacco in antler too? Great work by the way, the cars came out really nice looking.
shtoink Report post Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) I know antler is really rough to inhale- does that happen with burning tobacco in antler too? I could be wrong, but that pipe looks to be made from spalted maple or possibly spalted alder. I think the antlers were there to aid in supporting the various items being photographed. Stewart Report post Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) whiteeugene- took cover off an old one and reusing core. Thanks about the cars. Holocene-- Shtonik was almost correct. It was made from Hackberry . and the antlers where a prop. After cataract surgery hope tooling gets better. joe Edited May 24, 2013 by Stewart
shtoink Report post Posted May 24, 2013 I'm really wanting to see the ball after it's all laced up. Reusing the old one is a great idea. I'm sure there are plenty of softballs with a sad and worn exteriors that would like to have a new skin. Easy donor for a pattern, too.
