Members Nappers Posted May 26, 2013 Members Report Posted May 26, 2013 Besides the cell phone holder in the deluxe kit from Tandy Leather, This is my first leather project ever. I made a leather sheath for a buddy of mine here at work. It's for his son that my buddy made a knife for. A Green River Blade, Eucalyptis(sp?) burl wood handle, 1/8" copper tubing as pins. The sheath turned out way better than I expected. Hand sewn using 6-8oz(I think) tooling leather. 5 layer with a welt, artificial senew thread. I used contact cement between layers, grooved and thread wheel to stitch and.... #55 drill bit with my dremel. After tooling the front: All done! Quote
