Contributing Member SooperJake Posted May 31, 2013 Contributing Member Report Posted May 31, 2013 I am curious to learn why the Cowboy and the Cobra (and possibly other 441 types) are threaded differently? Quote
Members billymac814 Posted May 31, 2013 Members Report Posted May 31, 2013 How are they different? Could be dealer preferences maybe. The cowboy shoes to go a full loop around the second disk but I used mine for a long time with just a half loop, it made pulling thread out a lot easier and worked fine. I wouldn't over think it, thread it up and if it works good then leave it alone. Quote
Contributing Member SooperJake Posted May 31, 2013 Author Contributing Member Report Posted May 31, 2013 If you watch both company's youtube videos that show threading, they are slightly different. More of a curiosity than an overthink. For instance, Steve goes through the first thread guide twice, and Bob doesn't. Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted June 1, 2013 Moderator Report Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) I do a double loop around the bottom disks, then back off the adjustment nut. I lowered the thread guide in front of the top tensioner to get more thread inside the middle of the butterflies. Oh those butterflies! Where is my spaghetti strainer?
