Hello everybody,

Frist of all congratulations for this great web.

I´ve found this web recently and I think this a good place to learn things and improve my knowledge about leather craft.

I make knives, sheaths, wallets, purses, keychains and others things.

I hope to learn and contribute what I can to this forum.

Best regards,

Jesús.

welcome, I am from Louisiana, but my wife is from Barcelona. Where are you located in Spain?

I am very interested in learning some of the Spanish ways of doing leather work. Would you mind sending me your email address?

Best personal regards,

Bill

Hi Zipster,

I think you live in the best country to buy leather and tools. However, let me suggest you some suppliers in Madrid:

For leather:

http://www.curtidosgaspargarcia.es/

http://www.roal.com/

http://www.tiendahipicaelvalenciano.com/

For tools:

http://www.curtidosvillaverde.com/

Roal, El valenciano y Curtidos Villaverde are located in the same area, very close. In the down town, in a place called "El rastro". In this area you can find many old stores that sell antiques. And on sunday morning there is a street market.

Please realise that Curtidos Villaverde and Roal are closed on Sundays.

Any way if you are interested in visiting these stores, please let me know before and I could go with you.

Best regards,

Jesús.

Hi Jesús, many thanks for the links. I live in Alicante but visit Madrid frequently to visit with family (Suegra y Cuñados). I´m here at the moment!! (Lucero) but return to Alicante tomorrow. I´ll look up your suggestions next time I´m in town. Many thanks Cheers Zip

Just wondered if any of your suppliers stock the Tiger thread ? Nigel Armitage recommends it , ive ordered some from Abbey Saddlery in UK and my brother is bringing it over next week but it would be handy if there was a stockist in Spain . This is the thread i'm talking about .
