Members gottaknow Posted July 11, 2013 Members Report Posted July 11, 2013 Making my first holster that will be black, so I've made some vinegroon which worked great on my test piece, so I got that part figured out. So I've wet molded the holster, glued the front to the back, (it's a flat back pancake). Normally I would bevel the edges, burnish, cut the stitch grooves, mark for the holes, punch the holes with my awl, dye, sew, then wax. That's been working so far. I'm open to suggestions on how to do this one using my vinegroon, including how to do the final finish. Thanks in advance. Regards, Eric Quote
Contributing Member Samalan Posted July 12, 2013 Contributing Member Report Posted July 12, 2013 Eric that all sounds good don't forget the soda rinse and you can warm the roon and just paint brush it on. i like the final finish 50/50 resolene & water airbrushed .IMHO the airbrush makes all the difference especially with resolene.
