Resolene On Rough Out?

i am dying a saddle this weekend. Do you want to put resolene on the rouch out portions? I really am not quite sure what i think as to yay or ney. (seat, seat jockey and fenders are rough out)

I have a rough out messenger bag, chrome tanned. Resolene just peels off of it. I'm not sure if it's veg tanned split which you may be talking about. Hopefully someone that's used it on veg tanned can help. But if you used chrome it won't stick. Cheryl

I suspect i should just dye the rough out and be sure it is well oiled and leave it at that. Or maybe a Atom wax to seal a little bit?

I would not dye the rough out, I would just leave it be. Maybe some oil & atom wax would be all I think you would need.

But its a dark oil saddle? The rest is nearly black.
