I found this in an old set of hardware from Tandy does anyone know what is or what it's for?

loos like something for a sewing machine or a guide of some type to keep leather aligned for cutting, stamping, creasing or sewing, just a guess.

I am fairy sure that is a guide for one of the multi-use punches made by Bernard or Maun. They were pliar-type punches that had interchangable anvils, and a selection of hole, and lacing punches so the tools could serve several functions.

WyomingSlick has the right idea. It is attached to a hole punch pliers, adjusted right it would put the hole in the center of the belt and the little tab would be put in the existing hole and it would space out your holes evenly.

thanks a million, I was really confused because it came in a Tandy envelop, and I could not see how to use it. still dont think I have the other pieces, but hate to throw it away!
