Lividya Report post Posted August 6, 2013 Hi All! I'm trying to make a hair effect on some carving. I saw a tutorial saying I would need to use a multi blade knife. Where can I find one? Tandy don't have any. Is there another tool I can use to do it? Thanks!
camano ridge Report post Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) When you say multi blade knife I think you might mean a blade with multiple edges. I have several hair blade for my swivel knives. Tandy does not seem tocarry the hair blade anymore but does have a hair tool http://www.tandyleat...s/88013-00.aspx it has a blade with multiple edges that cut several fine lines at once simulating hair. The tool actualy has a blade at each end one is fine and the other is course. Hope this helps. Just checked Zack Whites and they have the hair blades for swivel knives. http://www.zackwhite.com/Midas-Swivel-Knife-Blades_p_1834.html Edited August 6, 2013 by camano ridge

shtoink Report post Posted August 7, 2013 Not exactly sure why this wasn't mentioned yet. It's a simple method and a lot less guilt is involved when it gets dull to toss and make a new one.
