Members Sam7 Posted August 12, 2013 Members Report Posted August 12, 2013 Hi everyone, I want to get into some upholstery and leather work. I picked up a machine from a divorce issue. The guy bought it a few years ago with the intention to start using it but never did. So it is like new. It's a Consew 255RB-3 .... walking foot with all the gadgets that come with it still sealed in the plastic. Does anyone know anything about these machines or did I buy a donkey ? What needles and # thread should I be using on this machine for upholstery / vinyl / leather ? Thanks Sam Quote
Members Geneva Posted August 12, 2013 Members Report Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) You have the best machine Consew makes for what you want to do. Copy and past this url http://www.consew.co...w-Model-255RB-3. It sews to fast for leather but bring on the upholstery. The needles I believe are the 135 system in the number 17,18,19,20,21,22 and 23 they run to 25. Slow the machine down and it will sew 207 thread in the top and in the bottom.
