Hello I'm a long time leather military aviation unit patch maker , recently I have found that a sealer I'm using has had problems with seeming to be totally dry but when shipping the patch out some have stuck to the mailing box, removing small amount of the paint. I recently had to switch to a new sealer the old one I used was discontinued . I paint on veg tanned leather with acrylics and then spray the sealer on the patch . Now what I'm needing is advice please of any types of spray can type of sealer that will be good for what do , sure to dry and not be "tacky" etc , would greatly appreciate any advice ......................................... Johnny my e mail is WeBeEmblems@aol.com

Hello Jimbob and thanks for your reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the "clear lac" you mention in a spray can type , I like spray can types as I don't have an airbrush, I only use veg tanned leather and water based acrylics nothing else and then the spray sealer , so I'm trying to find something I can depend on as my patches go to veterans and collectors and a few museums and I need a good product to rely on .......................................... Thanks again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Johnny

I think they used to call it Neat-lac....is now sold under different names....has solvent in it and stinks big time like lacquer thinner....but it works great....coes in a can and canbe applied with brush, cotton or swabb...

Apply it thin about two coats or so....u see it wont come off and it will protect well.
